So I made it to New Orleans, and safely. I last posted at UNC, so as I planned I went to the basketball museum and it was amazing. This place gave me goosebumps and made me proud to be a fan. There are so many relevant artifacts from the long and successful history that it's amazing. And seeing Duke's letter to Jordan after informing them that he wasn't interested in them anymore made my day.
After the museum I went to Franklin St (Main road in Chapel Hill) and bought a couple UNC things and breakfast and made my way to Tennessee. My plan was to stop in Knoxville for lunch and then go to Memphis for the night, however I only left UNC at like 11 or 11:30, so I got to Knoxville at approx. 6:30 and ate at Famous Dave's. I recognized the name from a Food Network show on best BBQs in the nation, so I had high expectations, and they were not met. The ribs didn't fall off the bone like they do at other places, so definitely not my fav. I hung out in Knoxville for a while just to rest my legs, and then decided to skip Memphis and head straight to New Orleans. I drove from 9 to 1:30 am and did half of the 9 hour drive. Stopping at a rest stop to get sleep is different. I woke up a few times paranoid that someone was trying to steal from me and stuff, but nothing happened and I got 6 hours of sleep out of it. I got up when the highway was buzzing again and more people were pulling into the rest stop. With the noise and light i couldn't get back to sleep, so I got back on the road. I made it to New Orleans at like 11 am (central).
We went out from lunch and saw batman (second time for me, just as good) and now we're gunna head over to matt's parents house. I'll do my pictures tonight or tomorrow when I have time. Thanks for reading!
