So here are some pictures from the trip so far.
Giant crosses seem to be more common than I thought. I've probably seen 5 or 6 all the way down to New Orleans.
Dan Straffon, in Virginia, when I met up with him just off the Appalachian Trail. He's one scruffy dude after being a wilder beast for 2 months
After our stay in a free hostel for hikers (yes they kindly let me stay too) these deer didn't care that we were there, just stared, and we were 15 feet away. So awesome.
So even though I wish the focus was on the biker, I still really like the picture. I love driving and taking pictures simultaneously.
Instead of driving down I-81 in Virginia, I went through the Blue Ridge Parkway for 150 miles, windows down, music playing and loving the views. This road is simply amazing and I would drive back through it any day.
Another amazing view.
The old house in Winston-Salem, NC. I lived here from when I was 3 till 10. Everything looks so small! and I definitely remember the entire house being white. Oops.
This is what the Carolina Basketball Museum looks like. It's so awesome and I love the design. This place gave me the goosebumps even though I'm just a fan.
Hardware.
And finally getting into New Orleans. I thought about it and coming into New Orleans from North Carolina, I drove 16 out of 24 hours, with a brief stop in Knoxville for dinner and 5 hours of sleep at a rest stop in Mississippi/Alabama (can't remember which)
